If you’re visiting the north-east coast, Bamburgh Castle is an essential stop. Perch on the walls to get a shot of the castle in all it’s dramatic glory, or head to the beach at sunset for an unmissable view of the reflections of the sky on the water below.

With it’s show stopping glass atrium housing the renowned Winter Garden restaurant, The Landmark London offers a slice of luxury that would rival a resort in Dubai. Grab a bite to eat under some impressive palm trees, but make sure you go early, (or just after midday) so the lighting is just right and for the best ‘gram.

65. City Centre Mural Trail, Glasgow, Scotland
The Glasgow City Centre Mural Trail is forever changing, with new artwork popping up every week. The mural of St Mungo is one of the most iconic on this trail, and if you cross the street to take a photo, you’ll be able to catch the full row of tenement houses and curve of the street. Try to go early when there are no cars around.

68. Portmeirion Village, Gwynedd, Wales
Step through the looking glass at Portmeirion Village, which looks like something straight from the pages of a Lewis Carrol fairytale. In fact, with it’s brightly coloured buildings and quirky collection of objects; you’d be forgiven for mistaking this pretty little UK village for somewhere on the Italian Riviera.

These ancient baths are some of the world’s best preserved Roman remains, and a must see if you’re heading to Bath. 71. The Shambles, York
Not only is The Shambles one for the quaintest streets in the UK, it was the inspiration for Diagon Alley – making York a hotspot for Harry Potter fans from across the globe. The timber-framed buildings date back as far as the fourteenth century, and there’s still some evidence that this street used to be lined with butchers as meathooks hang from the walls. Get there early for a snap with ‘The Shop That Must Not Be Named’ before the queues start to form.

72. Hogwarts Express, Fort William, Scotland
While we’re on the subject of Harry Potter; the Jacobite Steam Train, (or as you’ll probably know it; The Hogwarts Express) is a must for any potterheads wanting the ultimate photo. Considered to be ‘the greatest railway journey in the world’ the Jacobite is not only straight from the silver screen but it also offers so insane views of Ben Nevis, Loch Morar,River Morar and Loch Nevis!

79. Leadenhall Market, London
Leadenhall Market dates waaaay back to the 14th century and is built on the site of a Roman Basilica and Forum. If you’re looking to snap a photo without anyone else around, head to Leadenhall market of a week – yes, I know it goes against everything you were taught in Instagram 101, but believe it or the weekends are the quietest time. The area is surrounded by office blocks, so if you head there anytime after 1pm on a Friday you’ll be photobombed by the cast of The Office.

The clue is in the name! Lincoln’s Steep Hill is just that, steep AF – making it the ideal place to get a great shot of your #OOTD featuring some of England’s most historic buildings. The Forest of Dean’s famous Sculpture Trail is a picture perfect place to get some snaps of the natural artwork to add to your grid. Just along the coastline from Liverpool you’ll find Nation Trust site, Formby Woods. This expansive forest of pine trees is home to the protected and rare red squirrel, and it’s winding paths leads you right through the sand dunes and onto Formby’s iconic beach. If you’re looking for somewhere to have a picturesque picnic in the north west of England, Dovestone Reservoir is the perfect place to stop. The trail is an ideal choice for young families, as the easy access path makes it simple for the whole family (and it’s wheelchair and pushchair accessible) to take a stroll round the reservoir. Hidden under Waterloo train station in London, The Vaults are another hotspot for anyone who loves street art. The colourful artwork has earned the area it’s nickname, ‘Banksy Street’ and it’s London’s home for anything wacky, weird, and wonderful. If you’re in the North West, you can’t leave without visiting the elusive Hilbre Islands on the Wirral. The Islands are cut off from the mainland by the tide for about five hours out of every 12, and of a popular spot for hikers and budding photographers alike. Just make sure you allow yourself enough time to leave Hilbre before the tides come in (at three hours!)

Standing at a colossal 886 metres above sea-level, Pen y Fan is the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, (and a bit of an easier climb than Mount Snowdon.) If you’re up to the challenge, head to the summit to capture dramatic views stretching across south and mid-Wales, and over the Severn Estuary into South West England.

99. Pendle Witch Trail, Lancashire
If you’re into your history, you’ll know about (perhaps the most notorious) witch trial of the 17th century that was held in Pendle. The legend of the Pendle witches is one of the many dark tales of imprisonment and execution at Lancaster Castle, and the whole area has a really spooky vibe that you just have to experience for yourself. Grab some snaps outside the creaky Pendle Witch pub, or climb to the top of the hill for some breathtaking views.

100. Singing Ringing Tree, Lancashire
Another one from Lancashire; the Singing Ringing Tree is a wind powered, sound sculpture that looks like a dystopian tree. It’s an eerie juxtaposition to see this sculpture in the vast countryside, making it a perfect location for an Insta pic! Top tip: if you’re an early bird head there for sunrise for the best lighting!

101. Warner Bros. Studio Tour, London
And finally; yet another one for the HP fans: Warner Bro’ Studio is where the Harry Potter movies where filmed, and is now home to the Harry Potter Experience, allowing guests to be immersed in the world of Hogwarts as well as seeing how the magic was transferred to the screen.
