I am always on the lookout for cheaper alternative products to those more expensive brands. In the past I always thought you get what you pay for, but over the past couple of years the cheaper brands have massively stepped up their game and I for one am jumping straight on board!
Here are some of my top high-end makeup dupes I have found, and ones that I have purchased time and time again.
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Makeup Dupe:
Replace MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in ‘Soft and Gentle’ for Revolution Pro Skin Finish in ‘Radiance’
I have always been a MAC girl, I absolutely love their products and I still do; however these two products are exactly the same, the same finish and best of all the same staying power. If you’re new to highlighter and want to see if this is your thing, I would most definitely suggest trying the Revolution version as one of my favourite makeup dupes for just £5 rather than £25.50.
Fenty Beauty Matte Skin Stick Makeup Dupe:
Replace Fenty Beauty Matte Skin Stick in ‘Suede’ for Loreal Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation in ‘Toffee caramel’
This was by far my greatest make up find last year, I absolutely love this stick to contour my face. Hugely pigmented and super blendable, I have now officially swapped to the Loreal stick rather than my Fenty stick. Not only can you use both as foundation, they’re great to contour and slim down areas of your face.
Again, if you’re new to the concept of stick foundation or contouring, for less than £7 (rather than the £21 price tag that Fenty has) this a great place to start with over 12 different shades to choose from.
Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick Makeup Dupe:
Replace MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick with Primark Lustre lipstick in ‘Toast’
Yes, you read that correctly.
Primark.
What an absolute revelation.
I have found a lipstick that is (almost) a direct match in shade and staying power as my beloved Velvet Teddy, and it costs £1.50(!!)
Don’t even bother finishing reading this blog post, get your shoes on and get yourself to your nearest Primark and stock up on this lipstick, there are no negatives to this product. Great coverage, long lasting, smudge proof and it smells divine. Whack on with one of their £1 lipliners and thank me later.
