It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas… let the shopping commence! I got very Christmas excited when I received the invitation to attend The Body Shop Liverpool Christmas event. Being totally honest, I have not been to The Body Shop for years. I was obsessed in my school days with Dewberry, White Musk and Ananya. Who wasn’t?!
The Body Shop Liverpool Christmas range
The store set up was great and we were taken through some key products and gifts for the festive period. It was interesting to hear about the ingredients in the products and the reasons behind why they were made and how previous products had been adapted (toffee notes in the new vanilla marshmallow body butter!).
I particularly liked hearing about #enchantedbynature and some of the amazing things The Body Shop are doing for the environment. This includes the Bio Bridge project and it’s nice to hear we’ll benefit in the UK. It will be a pathway to reconnect animals and there’s a whopping £72 million they want to raise. It’s also good to hear how they’re significantly reducing packaging on products and ensuring everything is biodegradable which includes recycled glass and sustainably sourced wood.
The festive make up range was great. The pigments were stunning – the gold and purple. Perfect for Christmas eyes! And on the opposite scale – a nude lipstick. I want the focus to be on my eyes so I bought this. Yet to try though!
The Body Shop advent calendars looked great and sounds like they’re selling out fast so get yours quick if you want one. There’s also a large focus on Men’s Christmas Gifts so check those out for any misters! A great idea is a Personalise Station where you can get your face (or any other image via your phone) on to present tags. Fab! You can also create a personalised gift which is good as one gift doesn’t suit everyone.
For attending, we each got given a hand cream and I bought some super rich body cream – looks like a step up from the body butters. I am still yet to try! There’s an offer at the moment and if you spend over £30, you get a free gift. I chose the coconut one but there were a few different flavours. That is a great perk at Christmas – all the little free gifts you can get! ☺
My only (slight!) grumble was that there were no refreshments, even though it said it on the invite. This girl does love a sugary treat (or five!!) and some water would have been appreciated. Good job, it was in Liverpool One and I could grab some bits afterwards… which actually resulted in me going for a Turkish but that’s another blog post ha!
