East River Liverpool launches new Evening menu

Inspired by the East side of Manhattan New York, I think East River Liverpool is going to be my new favourite place for a bite to eat and a cocktail. Maybe that’s because I am such a fan of NYC or maybe it’s because I love to find a new little gem of a place.

Offering a menu full of yummy brunches, bagels and some fantastic tasting cocktails it’s the new kid on the ever-trendy Allerton Road block.

Last Friday I was kindly invited to join a host of other lovely Liverpool guys and girls to try their new menu and get a feel for what the place has to offer.

And I loved it.

I loved the colourful pop art on the walls, the funky décor and the friendly staff.

And the food, wow.  Crispy maple chicken bites, garlic butter fries (potentially not great if you’re on a first date!), smoked salmon, salt beef there really is something for every taste bud. The halloumi fries were a particular favourite of mine.

If you’re looking for something a little special, celebrating a birthday or having a girl’s day out, they offer a bottomless brunch from £20 per person, ideal if you can leave the car and enjoy a few glasses of prosecco.

Drinks at East River Liverpool

Keeping with the New York theme, they offer Uptown and Downtown cocktails which includes a Catalina wine mixer and a Soho spritz. My favourite? The mile-high clover club, a mix of pink gin and raspberries just keep me topped up with them please and I’ll be yours forever.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the vibe was fantastic, so whether you’re just looking for a quick bite or fancy a great start to your night out in town I couldn’t recommend East River enough.

Not sold just yet?

Did I mention it looks amazing on the ‘gram?

Thanks to all the team at East River for a great Friday night.
