The best coffee shops in Liverpool’s Albert Dock

As Summer draws to an end and the Winter months approach, what better way to fight the cold than with comforting crusty artisan breads, sweet pastries and hearty savoury pies. With National Baking Week running from 14-20 October, here’s the best places on the dock for all things flaky, fresh and addictively flavoursome. 

Rough Hand Made, Liverpool

From their decadent chocolate croissants to their famous handmade pita breads, family-run Rough Hand Made Bakery is a popular option when it comes to baked goods. Taking inspiration from different cultures and countries around the world, customers can find themselves feasting on decedanct delights such as chocolate rolls and pecan and maple croissants, or the ever so popular Spinach and Pepper rolled pastry, filled with tangy feta cheese. But hurry, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

The Pie Port, Liverpool

With an entire dockside menu dedicated to all things pie related, Pie Port located in the Dock‘s Anchor Courtyard serves a range of traditional and non-traditional all freshly baked and available with mash and gravy or chutney on the side. Traditional options include steak and ale and scouse pies, with non-traditional options including pork and chorizo and sweet blackcurrant pie. Veggie options include but are not limited to the hearty cheese and potato pie or cheese and chipotle pie. 
A new addition to the menu is Pie Port’s delicious sausage roll, and for October only customers can enjoy Two for Tuesday; a special buy one get one free offer running throughout the month.

Peaberry Coffee House, Liverpool

Usually known for their special Artisan Coffee and locally sourced ingredients, Peaberry is one of the best spots on the dock for all things sweet, savoury and everything in between . New to the menu is the baked Autumn Special, a Toffee Waffle topped with a Crispy Blueberry Croissant, Spiced Pumpkin Gelato & Vanilla Whipped Cream. A delicious pairing with any of their comfortingly smooth coffees.
