We interviewed fashion influencer, model and entrepreneur, Allison Soro to get her tips on being successful in the industry.
Being a leading fashion influencer and having such an impressive instagram following, what’s the secret to your success?
The secret to my success is being picky with the brands I choose to sponsor, although sometimes I have to say no to a good sum of money just to keep my feed consistent with product i truly believe in and I have tested already. Working with the right people, organizing myself and respecting deadlines. Also I love to engage with my followers as much as possible, so I always try to be nice to my fanbase.
What is your Top tip for capturing the perfect ‘insta shot’
Create a moodboard, sometimes I save all the pictures that I find inspiring from other bloggers and models and save them so I can eventually recreate that scene in my own way. Knowing your angles it is also fundamental, always stay natural and be confident.
What’s your Daily Struggle?
My daily struggle is to be able to do many tasks at the same time. As an influencer I also need to do micromanagement and at times it is really hard to do your own job and also checking on my employees (e.g. if my assistant has enough tasks and they are all performed successfully, if the person in charge with my instagram engagement is increasing the number of my impressions and reach as well as growing my followers).
Who inspires you?
I love weworewhat, Danielle is such an inspiration she works so hard and she is a great example of influencer. She is so young and smart and I do not know how she manages to be a blogger, investor, entrepreneur, designer etc at the same time. Like WOW.
What are some of your biggest ‘pinch me’ moments through your career so far?
OMG yes I had them lately. So many people online are just so supportive and they love me so much, my fans are incredible. I love it when my followers are happy to talk to me or start crying because I have talked to them. It is just INSANE and so REAL. Also being recognized so much by magazines and brands it is just Incredible. Waking up everyday to this job is just a pinch me moment itself.
Where did the inspiration come from to start ‘Alli Signature Chokers?’
I love chokers so much I always bought different types to a point that I really wanted to create my own line. It is always nice to have them personalized so I think it is a great idea to offer a wide range of colours and material choices. My signature sign on them is obviously the two dashes //.
