Simple, tasty and ideal while sinking one of their steins!! This the best way I can describe the evening we had at Around the World Bar in Bierkeller, Liverpool. Sometimes whilst you are sinking a few Shandy’s while perhaps you’re watch the footy or if you take out the misses for a few drinks, you don’t necessarily want a sit down meal as such! So this is when Around the World Bar based in the Bierkeller should enter your thoughts.
Tapas/ Small Plates?
Their Tapas or small plates are ideal whilst chilling with a few drinks. I decided to go for Chorizo and Hummus. The Hummus was actually a first for me in a sense that it was baked, so therefore served hot. A really nice twist on a classic served with some Tortilla Chips, Ideally for sharing or nibbling on. The Chorizo was nice and simple, cooked in olive oil and really nice.
Lunch Menu at Bierkeller Liverpool
As well as the options for small plates, they also have a lunch menu which again is ideal option if you are out on your dinner when working in city, or whilst you have a break from shopping on our famous high streets. Sticking with the overall German Vibe from the Bierkeller, they offer obvious german favourites like Currywurst. They also offer a range of pastas, salads and even a Chicken Katsu. I wouldn’t be drawing comparisons with a traditional Katsu, but in terms of value it’s great.
My overall verdict is that it would not be my favourite or first choice if you fancy a sit down meal with friends or partner, but it is super ideal if you fancy some light food as a side line to some beers or drinks. Overall a really nice evening, lovely service and tasty food.
