I was never a nails kind of girl; I would whack on a polish if I was going out but never on the daily mainly because I don’t have the patience to sit and wait for them to dry so before I knew it they would be smudged and chipped before I had even left the house. However, that all changed when I discovered shellac, absolutely life-changing! Regular appointments combined with a biab builder gel underneath my nails have never looked and felt longer or stronger.
I love that with shellac once painted they don’t chip or peel for at least 2-3 weeks and I love nothing more than switching up my colours to match each season.
With my absolute favourite season now in full swing, I have recommended a few of the key Autumn nail colours that are trending this season.
Metallics
With a hint of bronze or gold, these are ideal during the cooler months.
Forest Green
I am OBSESSED with this unusual shade. Perfect for an all over colour or if you fancy swapping your French tips opt for a dark green, trust me you will love this as one of your go-to Autumn nail colours.
Burnt Orange
My favourite colour in October, think pumpkins and spice lattes a burnt orange looks unreal!
Dark Berries
Whether it’s a dark red or purple you cannot go wrong with either colour at this time of year and the deeper darker the shade the better! If I’m going for this shade, I love to keep my nails short and square.
Matte nails
I love a glossy nail don’t get me wrong but there is something about a matte black that I just adore! This shade looks great whether you want to add length to your nails or keep them short.
