I am not a huge lover of making new year resolutions. The pressure to not fail within the first week is always a little too much for me. So instead I set myself some beauty goals for 2020. Because after all goal posts can be moved as and when you need too.
So, what’s on my list as we embark on this new decade?
Well here are just a few.
6 Beauty Goals For 2020
Look after my skin
2019 was the year I really upped my skincare regime, I know what works, what doesn’t and what products are worth the hype. So, as I go into 2020 I want to continue looking after the skin I’m in, with good SPF, cleansing, toning and moisturising all year round. Our skin is unique to us so it is worth finding a skincare regime that suits you and your needs.
Up my water intake
I am pretty good with this however I am also good at knocking back the coffee. But we all know 2 litres of water daily keeps our skin hydrated and in tip top condition.
Have makeup free days
This is something I want to incorporate into my week, just one day where I keep my face makeup free. I don’t feel I HAVE to wear makeup at all, I just like to wear it. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t jump at the opportunity to let my skin breathe every now and then.
Continue to pamper at least once a week
For me this is key for that little bit of self-care we all need.
Whether it’s a face mask once a week, booking myself in for a massage or a facial or just keeping on top of my tan and nails I know how much better I feel if I look after myself. Healthy body, healthy mind after all.
Double Cleanse
This is something I have gotten into the habit of doing this year and the difference in my skin has been unreal. So not only do I cleanse my face to remove makeup, dirt and grime I then go back in with fresh cotton pads for a second go just to ensure my skin is completely clean and hydrated.
If you don’t already, make this one of your 2020 skin goals and I know you will see the difference.
Become eco-friendly with my skincare
The beauty industry has slowly become more eco-conscious in the past few years, but it needs the help of consumers to really push toward more sustainable business models. In 2020, I really am going to try to invest in products that champion more sustainable packaging and also make a commitment to be a more conscious consumer.
