Lord and Berry Lipsticks Review
As we all probably know I am the QUEEN of lipsticks, at any one time I have at least 6 floating around my handbag, never mind in my makeup bag and let’s not even mention the 50+ I have in my drawers at home. I hold my hands up, my name is Dawn and I am addicted to lipsticks.
So, imagine my delight at trying four of the new Lord and Berry range, Absolute. And I am obsessed.
These lipsticks are beautiful, highly pigmented with a long-lasting satin finish.
Enriched with avocado oil these lipsticks offer not only nourishment to your lips but keep them super hydrated.
I tried four different shades and was not disappointed with any. I like full coverage lipsticks with staying power and this range had it all. From red to nude, there is a colour to suit a range of skin tones.
The price tag is similar to that of a MAC lipstick so they’re not cheap, but these little beauties are definitely worth a purchase.
GOSH Prime ‘N’ Set review
Some people love a setting powder, others think they’re useless. I for one, have several in my makeup collection and wouldn’t dream of NOT setting my face.
So, I was intrigued to try this new product from Gosh that promises not only to set your make up, but also prime your face before application.
With the added benefit of containing hyaluronic acid powder to blur any imperfections, smooth out any fine lines and leave your make up with the flawless look we all aim for I was keen to give this little pot a go.
However, I found the pot difficult to use, when I did finally manage how to work it to get some product out, I ended up with much more than I intended. It was so fiddley! Which is a shame as when I did manage to get the product onto my skin,I liked the overall finish, not too drying and left my skin smooth and ready to apply my makeup. And as a setting powder, again this worked well, soaking up any access oil and creating a good base, however the pot for me was too hit and miss.
One thing to always remember with any translucent powder, you do need to buff this into your skin regardless of your skin tone!
So, although I may not swap this for my usual setting powder, I would be keen to try more of the GOSH products.
