Now we all know what my favourite thing is after coffee. If you read my blog posts, you probably won’t even need three guesses. Lipsticks. I cannot get enough of them, i don’t feel my makeup is complete without a pop of colour to my lips. So here I have rounded up some of the best beauty products and lipsticks around.
Lip Dual by Leighton Denny
Earlier this month I received two of the brand-new products from well-known brand Leighton Denny.
Lip dual is their latest baby, a revolutionary ‘2 in 1’ lip colour system.
One end being the lip stain, the other a lipstick.
The lip stain is designed to do just that, stain a colour on your lips, which is non-drying but will keep the colour locked in.
The lipstick then adds a rich and creamy pop of colour whilst keeping them soft and subtle.
The colours I received were ‘Impeccable Pink’ and ‘Ravishing Red’ both part of the Velvet matte range.
I tried both over one weekend and was super impressed with not only the colour, but also the staying power. I only had to top up the red once and that was after I had eaten.
I even tried just the lip stain on its own and loved the subtle hint of colour it left on my lips.
Available in nine different shades from just £12.50.
Zenmed B5 Hyaluronic Plumping Serum
I must admit, before this product was sent to me to review, I hadn’t heard of the brand before. But after doing some research I could see it was a brand that has a lot of good reviews.
Offering a range of skincare for anything from acne to rosacea along with anti-ageing products I was keen to see how this one in particular would fare on my skin.
Promising to increase collagen levels whilst improving the texture of dehydrated (which my skin is) mature or sun damaged skin I wanted to see if this would live up to the hype.
And I was impressed.
If you don’t currently have a hyaluronic serum in your skincare regime then you really should invest. Not only does this serum lock in moisture much more than a moisturiser alone, the hyaluronic acid helps to plump up the skin improving fine lines and wrinkles, leaving your skin looking more youthful. And who doesn’t want that?
What I liked about this product was how lightweight it felt on my skin, I have tried others in the past that has left my skin feeling tacky. This however smoothed onto my skin and felt really nourishing and smelt divine.
Can I see vast improvement in any fine lines? Not particularly but luckily, I think due to having a relatively good skincare routine in place already, I am making the steps to keep my skin looking as good as it can do. However, I have definitely noticed my skin is softer and more plumped up.
At £39.00 this is a high price point, but a little goes a long way, so you are getting a lot of product for your money.
Available via their website Dermacare Direct.
Frances Prescott Tri Spritz
Having used Frances Prescott products before and loving them I couldn’t wait to try out this multi-tasking spray and I was not disappointed!
Not only does this work really well alongside my Tri-balm (if you’ve not tried this, take a read of my review it really is an amazing product) but it also helps to calm irritated skin and even works as a setting spray over your makeup!
Suitable for all skin types (even sensitive) it smells like oranges and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and soft. I used this spray to refresh my skin after a long day under the central heating in work and it instantly freshened up my skin as well as helping to keep my makeup in place. At £45 it’s not a cheap product and perhaps if I had never tried their products before I wouldn’t be as convinced, but knowing how good this brand is and used correctly as part of your daily skincare regime, the 100ml bottle will last you.
Let me know over on Instagram or in the comments below what are the best beauty products you’re loving this month.
