Best Vegan Beauty Products Under £20

Vegan Beauty Products

It’s no secret that Veganism has blown up in every sense of the word over the last year or so. Countless celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon and whether it’s promoting a meat free lifestyle or just the products we are using on our faces this has become a million-pound industry with more and more brands offering Vegan beauty products.

This trend is promoting real change within the beauty industry and I for one am here for it.

And its only set to grow and become more popular in the next 5 years as more and more of us are choosing to use animal free products.

So, what does Vegan beauty even mean?

A Vegan certificate on any product verifies that it has not been tested on animals and they are free from any kind of animal extract.

I have been keen on trying some Vegan products with the hope in the not too distant future to swap all of the products I use to Vegan.

I am super lucky to have received some products recently to try and review for you and here are my honest opinions.

Vegan Beauty Products: Norvell Post Sunless Skin Repairing Body Butter

Best Vegan Beauty Products Under £20

Recognised as an advanced repair cream this body butter promises to revitalize dull and dry skin whilst creating the perfect canvas for sunless tanning.

I love a false tan, i am all for faking rather than baking. However, within a couple of days of tanning it does start to fade and go patchy so I was intrigued to try this product and see whether it would help lock in my colour and keep my skin moisturized and hydrated.

Applied the night after I fake tanned my first impressions were good. I love the smell; it has that coconut/shea butter smell which reminds me of holidays, and I loved the consistency. Non greasy and ultra-rich it soaked into my skin super easily and left my skin feeling hydrated and soft.

Do I think it has made a huge difference to the life of my tan?

I would say so, even by just a few days I have been able to see the difference, mainly due to how hydrated and moisturized my skin has felt it has maintained and locked in my tan for longer than normal.

So, if you fake tan on the regular and you’re looking for something to keep you nourished as well as locking in your tan for longer this is most definitely one to try.

Available via Amazon for less than £15.

Dr. Paw Paw Scrub and Nourish Lip Scrub

Dr. Paw Paw Scrub and Nourish Lip Scrub

I had heard of this product before I was sent it to try so I was super excited to add this to my skincare regime.

Taking inspiration from the technology used in Korean Beauty, Dr Paw Paw have created their very own duo pot which comprises of a lip scrub and lip balm. Ideal to keep in your handbag for some on the go soft lips I am addicted!

So how do you use it?

Apply the lip scrub directly onto your lips to remove any dry skin or even just to keep your lips hydrated! Leave on for a couple of minutes and then wipe clean (you can also lick it off – trust me!)

Follow the scrub with a generous helping of the super nourishing balm and see how much smoother your lips feel!

I have used this once a day for a week and have noticed such a difference when applying my lipstick and liner.

It’s also ideal if your lips have been suffering in this weather.

Available online or from most stores for less than £10.

Milani Bold Colour Statement Matte Lipstick

Milani Bold Colour Statement Matte Lipstick vegan beauty products

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love lipsticks; I wear them all day everyday and have on my last count over 100 different shades and finishes.

However, I love the idea of a Vegan Lipstick, especially one that promises to provide colour yet a formula that will stay where it needs too.

Infused with monoi oil to keep lips ultra-soft and smooth and available in 17 different shades this easy, glide on formula dries comfortably on the lips, which I loved.

Did it last?

Not really, I found this lipstick needed a lot of reapplying, which is fine on the day to day but if you’re looking for a lipstick that doesn’t need reapplying or one with staying power, I probably wouldn’t suggest this range.

Which is unfortunate as it has a lot of positives. I loved the consistency, the scent, the range of colours, it just did not last.

Again, as there are a lot of positives, I would like to try more of the Milani range to see how the other products fare.

Available for £6 online.

So overall how do I feel about Vegan Beauty products?

Testing these products and researching into some of the brands I have used in the past has given me much more awareness about how I can make cruelty free and sustainable choices when it comes to the beauty products I use.

In a world where we need to be more conscious, more aware of the products we are buying I think we will be seeing Vegan beauty products more and more and I for one will be 100% making that change.
