Review of our favourite french bistro in Liverpool: Bistro Franc

French inspired restaurant, Bistro Franc Liverpool recently became independently owned, but has been running for several years. I love french food and with so many restaurants in Liverpool City Centre it’s hard to chose somewhere new to try, so it’s a nice surprise when you discover a new place that you’ve never seen before! Bistro Franc is one of the best french bistros Liverpool has to offer.

We were invited down to sample the menu for a completely honest review, after reviewing the venue and the food, I can say I would highly recommend this place if you are a big foodie like myself. The staff were really friendly, the venue relaxed, chilled and to French culture and the food was absolutely cooked to perfection!

It was ‘cheat day’ so we chose 3 courses.

Starters:

Stuffed rolled pork belly with a thyme infused sausage meat, Served with a celeriac and parsnip puree and a port reduction.

Deep fried calamari served with a chilli and lime jam, wasabi aioli, pickled mooli and baby coriander.

The warm, friendly and relaxed service is accompanied by a fresh selection of “entrees” and “plats de resistance”, as well as a variety of mouth-watering Mediterranean dishes. Our server informed us that the menus change daily to make use of fresh market produce and this adds to the vibrancy and spontaneity of this bustling inner-city restaurant.

Bistro Franc Liverpool is situated on the junction of Hanover Street and Duke Street. This Gallic eaterie perfectly complements its sister restaurant Bistro Pierre in the Cavern Quarter. If you are a lover of french cuisine like me, you need to try this place! They have an offer on a Sunday where you get 2 courses and a bottle of wine EACH for just £18.95.
