Can you tell us a bit about this years Enchanted Fields festival?
“Enchanted Fields Festival is a magical family yoga and wellness festival in the incredible fields of Victoria Park, Southport.
“Soothe your soul in the Holistic Village, play and fly in the Big top and shake your tail feather in our Shindig area – however you feel, we have a workshop, live act, practice and performance for you.
“When you have the time between enjoying the activities, grab delicious food and drink, lounge in our outdoor seating space or peruse the variety of stalls.
“At the end of the day, lay your head in a glamping pod or bring your own tent and sleep beneath the stars.”
Where did the idea for the festival come from?
“The magical idea began after a yoga practice and watching the yoga community grow, new friends made, deep connections between the groups and how much their weekly practice gave each of them. I felt that if only more people could have access to the guy of wellness and yoga.
“Creating a festival, lets people come and try new things, without any pressure and in an environment where play and fun is actively encouraged.
“And, its all about the smiles – everywhere you look during our festival, everyone is there for the same reason and plenty of smiles.”
Is there a story behind the name?
“We began 5 years ago as Secret Garden Festival, then earlier this year we made the change to Enchanted Fields.
“My ethos, apart from wellness and sustainability of course, is to create magic, to take people away from everyday life and make their jaws drop at the displays, shows and energy we offer round every corner of our festival.
“Wherever you wander, you will see something that feels like magic and it will make your soul feel all sparkly.”
So which acts are you most excited to have on board?
“I love all the teachers, performers and musicians joining our family, each and every one of them bring with them their own magic and energy.
“I am honoured to have so many returning festival family this summer and delighted to have extended our festival family with new souls joining the crew.”
Other than the focus on health and wellbeing, what makes the festival stand out?
“Our festival aims to be a sustainable and sending as much love back to our incredible planet as possible. We ask all to avoid single use plastics and bring water bottles to refill.
“We are also a not for profit festival and any profits will go to One Tree Planted and Global reforestation. The beauty of Victoria Park, they also have the same dream, and all there profits go into the park to create a beautiful space for the community.”
Is Enchanted Fields Festival suitable for families?
