The search for the perfect foundation for your skin type is up there with one of the most difficult problems in the beauty world.
Whether you’re looking for the correct shade, the perfect coverage, something to cover imperfections or to enhance and highlight your skin… it is tough!
Or potentially you’re looking for something light and dewy for an everyday makeup look or perhaps a heavier coverage for those nights out, or you just have some dark circles you want to keep from ruining your Instagram selfies, I have tried and tested A LOT.
Before I spill the tea on some of my favourites here are some of my top tips when it comes to foundation.
- If you’re looking for a light wear foundation or you’re new to makeup opt for a tinted moisturiser.
- When choosing your foundation always look for at least 3 shades that are closest to your foundation, and always always always try these out in natural light!
- Do not test foundation on your hand, this is never the same shade as your face, always try along the jawline.
- If foundation slips off your skin easily, always use a setting powder after application.
- Invest in a foundation darker than your usual shade if you often wear fake tan. There is nothing worse than a tanned body with a completely different shade on your face.
