Visit a local park

If the weather’s good, Liverpool is lucky enough to have a range of beautiful parks to visit, only costing you the price of an ice cream. Sefton Park is one of Liverpool’s largest parks, with 235 acre’s of stunning greenery. You could spend a whole day walking round the park, sitting by the lake, and spending some time in the Palm House, the park’s unmissable dome shaped Victorian green house filled with a variety of plants and flora.

View Liverpool from above

For a unique experience, we’d definitely recommend travelling to Liverpool’s highest point for some Instagram-worthy shots.

The Anglican Cathedral gives visitors the chance to climb to the top of the building (not as scary as it sounds) to get an incredible view of the whole city centre.

We’d advise wrapping up warm for this as it can get quite windy being so high up, and wearing suitable shoes for the long walk up. If you’re an art lover, an extra bonus to visiting the cathedral is you get to see a piece of art work by contemporary artist Tracey Emin in the flesh; two birds with one stone!
