I LOVE trying new skincare and I love to see smaller brands bringing out products that are cruelty free, paraben free and Vegan friendly. It shows a level of detail that some of our well-known bigger brands could learn from.
Around a month ago I received probably one of the NICEST PR packages I have ever received from Glowcatcher, a ‘clean, fuss-free’ skincare brand with the most beautiful packaging I have seen in a long time! And although these products have been gifted, I always ensure to try out the products for myself to enable I give a completely honest and unbiased review.
Their mission is to use only ingredients that directly benefit the health of the skin and want to help us all to achieve happy, radiant and glowy skin – which if you read my blogs on the regular I am a big fan of!
My first thoughts when I received the products was how much I loved the packaging, it truly did symbolize their mission.
I received four items: Green Tea cucumber cleanser, Scrub Genie and two masks, a cranberry clay mask and a AHA enzyme jelly mask.
But will their packaging match good quality products?
(Spoiler..it does!)
My Glowcatcher Product Review
I always like to try out products for at least 3 weeks before I review as I think sometimes it can take your skin time to adjust to trying a new brand, but I noticed within a week an improvement in both my skins texture and overall brightness, my skin truly has never looked better.
I tried the Green tea cleanser and immediately swapped my normal cleanser for this one to see which I preferred. Packed with anti-oxidizing and nutrient rich green tea it deeply cleanses without stripping the skin which is ideal as my skin can be a little sensitive sometimes. It feels super soothing on application and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.
The Scrub Genie was a particular favourite of mine because I love to exfoliate the skin between 2-3 times a week, something that is key for removing the barrier of dead skin cells and uncovering fresh new cells, leaving your skin fresh and healthy.
It promises to wash away impurities and refines the skins texture which it most certainly does! Within one week of using this scrub I noticed how much softer and smoother my skin texture felt.
If you’re suffering with dull and dehydrated skin, I recommend adding this polish into your weekly skincare routine and just see how much your skin improves.
Now if you’re a regular of my blog posts you will know I am all about the self-care journey and I love nothing more than adding a mask into my routine.
What I love most about these masks is not only do you receive a good-sized tub, you also receive a handy spatula which makes it super easy (and less messy!) to apply directly to the skin. If you are looking to get rid or dead skin cells, unclog pores and boost the overall moisturization to the skin I would suggest trying the Cranberry Clay mask. Packed with hyaluronic acid, kaolin clay and fruit extract it looks to cleanse the skin and purify the pores.
If you’re looking to brighten and even out your skin tone I would suggest trying the jelly enzyme mask, which has a super light weight consistency and looks to gently exfoliate the skin leaving cleansed pores and noticeably brighter skin.
Overall, I truly love this brand and I am already eyeing up what other products I can add to my overflowing skincare cupboards!
If you’re looking for a brand that not only looks great but also does the job without stripping the skin then I highly suggest checking out their website and their Instagram for more information.
Not only that but there are some fantastic offers live now so treat yourself, your lockdown skin will thank you for it!
