As a busy mum to an energetic toddler I’m always on-the-go, and I’ve been looking for an everyday smartwatch that helps me to keep track of the workouts I do have time to do, and my general activity during everyday life. So, I was excited to be given the chance to review the HONOR watch ES – a fitness tracer designed for day-to-day wear.
HONOR ES: first impressions:
The HONOR watch ES has a sporty, all-plastic look, which might not sound super-chic, but with a slim screen and a huge variety of personalised watch faces to suit every personality, this smartwatch is surprising stylish for it’s £89.99 price tag. You can also choose from meteorite black, coral pink or Icelandic white straps.
Working out with the HONOR watch ES
Animated Workout Courses
Along with a lot of mums, finding time to get to the gym can be challenging – but the HONOR Watch ES has 12 animated workout courses preloaded (with the standard body-movement animations)
Automatic Workout Recognition
As well as the animated courses, this HONOR watch automatically detects when you start a workout, and what type of exercise you’re doing – which is really helpful if, like me, you invariably forget to track your workouts. The model comes with 10 professional workout modes – including walking, running, cycling, swimming – offering high-level fitness tracking with personalised guidance, and is actually really accurate compared to some other sports watches, giving busy mums like me a better insight into how much energy you expend during those trips to the park with the kids. You can also find your favourite workouts from one of the 85 customised workout modes to help you stay active on-the-go.
Post-Workout Guidance
At the end of each workout, the HONOR watch ES provides personalised recommendations on how to improve, all based on real-time indicators such as heart rate and calories burnt.
HONOR Watch ES: for everyday life
Sleep and stress monitoring
I’m fascinated by the different stages of sleep, so I loved the model’s TruSleepTM technology that monitors deep, light and REM sleep, along with breathing analysis, providing high-level sleep tracking, assessments and recommendations to help improve your sleep quality. If you struggle with anxiety, the TruRelaxTM technology can help you to manage everyday stress and calm your mind through a series of breathing exercises within the breathing app.
Heart rate and female tracking monitor
As well as it’s cutting-edge TruSeen™ 4.0 heart rate monitor that gathers high-precision readings and provides, the HONOR watch ES has a Female Cycle Tracker that helps you to track your menstrual cycle and predicts when the next period will come and go. You can also set yourself (much needed) reminders for the start of menstruation or ovulation, helping you stay informed and on track at all times!
For a modest £89.99, the HONOR watch ES is an ideal everyday smartwatch for anyone looking to get their fitness and health on track on a daily basis.
