We’ve all been there, haven’t we? Desperate for a change we decide the only option is to hack all of our hair off and then instantly regret it. So in my attempt to figure out how to grow my hair back IMMEDIATELY, I bought a lot of different products hoping for a quick fix.
And let me tell you, when it comes to your hair health there is no quick fix, hair growth takes time and patience. I’ve now been growing my hair for around 18 months, and I’m super impressed with how my hair is looking so I thought it was only fair to share some tips right?
Taking care of your hair is just as important as taking care of your skin and as always finding the right products that work for you should be your starting point.
Here are just a few of my tips on how to make your hair grow faster; to help you achieve longer, thicker, and most importantly healthier looking hair.

1. Increase scalp circulation
So Eco, home to hair restoration products has now added a new product to its collection. Introducing, So Eco Scalp Massaging Brush, a brush to help tackle all your hair problems and help increase your scalp blood circulation to support healthy hair growth. The scalp brush helps to stimulate your follicles while leading to a healthy-looking scalp. Hand-held and easy to use, it helps remove dry skin that leads to dandruff, eases any itchiness, improves blood circulation, and strengthens the roots of your hair.

Compact enough to fit in your handbag and super affordable it can also be used on dry hair to eliminate dandruff. I use mine in the shower whilst washing my hair and not only does it help my irritated scalp, but it also helps to detangle my curly hair. A gentle and safe way to scrub your scalp without leaving your head irritated or itchy and provides a massaging experience to help revive your hair, leading to stronger, healthier-looking hair.
2. Invest in good quality shampoo
Previously I was absolutely the type of girl who thought shampoo is shampoo surely? However, having tried shampoo from more high-end brands I have seen the biggest difference in the overall look of my hair. Odylique’s Reviving Rosemary Shampoo has been my go too for the last couple of weeks. Packed with rosemary, using two different extracts, which gives it a nice, fresh scent and a seriously invigorating feel. Plus, they’ve added seaweed and aloe amino acids, which are supposed to be great for scalp health and shine. And you know what? My hair does feel stronger.

Not only does this shampoo and conditioner feel super luxurious to use it has left my hair feeling thicker and shinier, whilst clearing any flakiness from my scalp. What more could you ask for?
If you’re looking to switch to a higher-end shampoo I would highly recommend investing in the Odylique rosemary shampoo and conditioner.

3. Look after your scalp
If you’re trying to grow your hair fast, you need to start with your scalp. When you take care of your scalp, you’re ensuring that nutrients and blood can easily flow to the hair follicle. That’s why I’m a big believer in targeted scalp treatments. Think scalp drops, oils, serums, or masks – find what works for you. Personally, I’ve been really impressed with the Philip Kingsley Density Preserving Scalp Drops. They’re lightweight, absorb quickly, and I’ve noticed a definite improvement in the overall health of my scalp, which, in turn, seems to be supporting healthier hair growth.

Using a clarifying shampoo has been life-changing, and not just in terms of my hair growth, but also has helped my often flaky and dry scalp. I now use a clarifying shampoo as my first shampoo to balance, moisturize, and protect the hair and scalp. Speaking of scalp care, I’ve recently incorporated the Philip Kingsley Density Preserving Scalp Drops into my routine. These drops are designed to nourish the scalp and create an optimal environment for hair growth. I apply them directly to my scalp after washing, and I’ve found they absorb quickly without leaving any greasy residue. It’s just another step I’m taking to really prioritise my scalp health, which I’m convinced is the foundation for strong, healthy hair.
4. Take your vitamins
While I’m a firm believer that no single supplement is a magic bullet for hair growth, I’ve seen a noticeable difference since incorporating the Higher Nature Nails & Hair Formula into my daily routine. I’ve been taking their recommended dose for the past few months, and honestly, I’m really pleased with the results. What I appreciate about this particular formula is its comprehensive approach.

It’s not just about biotin; it includes a wide range of essential nutrients like zinc, selenium, and copper, all of which play crucial roles in hair and nail health. Plus, it has a good balance of B vitamins, which are vital for cell growth and energy production – something that definitely translates to healthier hair follicles. It’s a bit more than just a biotin boost and I think that’s why it’s been so effective for me.
I’ve seen an improvement in the strength and shine of my hair, and even my nails seem less brittle. It’s become a key part of my overall hair care strategy, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded hair and nail supplement.
5. Brush your hair
Sounds obvious right? But how many times a week do you brush your hair? (I’m looking at you WFH people!) and whilst brushing or combing is essential, being gentle with your hair is key. Ensure when your hair is wet that you are detangling from the bottom and work your way up slowly. This may feel weird at first however brushing your hair downwards when wet will only cause more tangles to be created!

Having swapped to a Bamboo hairbrush I have noticed the difference in how shiny and healthy my hair looks. Having curly hair I do have to be careful when brushing but a Bamboo hairbrush with bristles made up with bamboo rounded tips to gently stimulate the hair whilst you brush.
If you struggle with lots of tangled hair I highly recommend investing in a detangling spray such as the Unwind Detangling Primer from Centred – life-changing!!
6. Trim your hair often and stay away from bleach!
As much as it’s probably the one thing you are avoiding in the hunt for super long healthy-looking hair, maintaining frequent trims are non-negotiable. Continuing to have frayed, split ends will do your hair no favours. It will also make your hair look much thinner.
Maintaining a trim every 12 weeks will enable your hair to grow thicker and longer. Avoiding hair dyes and bleach really is one of the best things you can do to help with your hair growth. So up to you, do you want that platinum blonde hair or super long, healthy-looking hair?
7. Invest in a good hair mask
Getting into the habit of treating your hair as much as you treat your skin will really help with your hair care journey. Adding a mask to your self-care routine once a week will not only help with growing your hair long and strong but will also help the look and feel of your hair too.
