Both Vegan and cruelty-free, Illamasqua’s mission is to empower all with the confidence to express their true self. With a pioneering attitude, the British makeup brand has been pushing boundaries and redefining beauty conventions since the beginning back in 2008.
Each of Illamasqua Makeup products is crafted using the highest professional standards within the industry to inspire both professional makeup artists and enthusiasts. I was lucky to receive some of their top sellers to review, and although these items are gifted, they have been trialed by me and all thoughts are my own.
Skin Base Foundation, £33
Available in 26 shades this best-selling formula is the perfect matte foundation for those looking for a flawless complexion.
Super lightweight yet buildable it smooths and softens the skin whilst creating a soft airbrush finish. Although listed as a matte foundation I found it to leave a dewy skin-like finish to the skin that lasted all day with minimal powder required. If you’re unsure of your shade, they offer a shade match finder online.
Skin Base Concealer Pen, £24
If you’re looking for a flawless undereye without any cakey product this is the concealer for you! An innovative high coverage formula this applied well under my eye and didn’t crease upon application or throughout the day. For me, this concealer is more lightweight than what I would normally use so I would recommend it highly to those who don’t want to use too much product or for more mature skin. With a unique applicator, it contains Vitamin E to help fight against free radicals, including those caused by UV light.
Loose Powder, £28
By far THE BEST powder I have ever tried. Finely milled with a slight scent this powder left my skin looking flawless! Soft and light this powder felt amazing on my skin and set my makeup perfectly. What I look for in a powder is one that is going to have the staying powder without leaving that white cast. It also doesn’t cling to any dry areas and doesn’t sit within any fine lines. An absolute must-have for anyone wanting to keep their makeup looking as good as it did upon first application!
Beyond Powder, Dare, £34
Having tried the beyond powders before in different shades I knew what to expect and I knew I would absolutely love the shade Dare. Providing a natural and radiant glow this baked highlighter works for all skin tones and can double up as a blush too! Giving the ultimate pop of highlight the colour is super pigmented so you can apply it sparingly. I loved how glowy and radiant my skin looked and will be keen to wear this alone without foundation. Available in a range of shades including champagne, bronze, and gold tones there is a highlight shade to suit everyone.
Eye Paint Liquid Shadows, £19
By far the product I was most looking forward to trying out! Available in 8 shades these liquid shadows are game changers!! Super pigmented they deliver up to 12 hours of waterproof and transfer-proof colour.
If you’re a makeup novice and struggle creating eye looks, I guarantee after trying these once you will feel like a pro!
Lightweight and comfortable they can be worn alone or even topped with a little shimmer for that evening makeup look. My favourite pop of colour is Lavender Brew, a gorgeous light purple that really made my green eyes pop!
