Summer has finally arrived, and lockdown restrictions have finally eased. Two good reasons to invest in some super long lasting lipstick products to see you through the hot days with minimal touch-ups! After all, we have been hiding behind our masks for too long!
I’ve compiled some of my ultimate matte lipsticks that offer a long lasting lipstick finish without drying out the lips.
Nars Air Matte Lip Colour
Available in a range of different shades that are perfect for summer, it feels super lightweight on the lips and once applied it will feel like you’re wearing nothing. And unlike previous matte lipsticks, I have tried this didn’t dry the lips and lasted even after eating and drinking.
Fenty Lip Paint
Trust the hype behind this brand, the lipsticks really do deliver. Once applied these lip paints do not budge and promise 12-hours of a soft matte finish. I love how easy they are to apply, just ensure you let it dry down before adding any gloss on top. My favourite shade for summer is Uncuffed, a gorgeous pinky nude that looks great with a tan. Fenty Beauty is also 100% cruelty-free.
MAC Powder kiss liquid lip colour
A favourite of mine for years I have these liquid lipsticks in several colours. Super reliable and available in so many colours, I love the pigment of these liquid lipsticks and how well they last without drying out my lips. They somehow make your lips look bigger too!
My favourite shade is Devoted to chilli, a warm nude with a hint of red.
Maybelline Superstay Matte Lipstick
A super budget matte lipstick, plus available in 19 shades they offer 12 hours of wear and are an ideal dupe for Fenty.
I love the applicator that comes with these lipsticks, they are ideal if you’re not super comfortable when applying colour to your lips.
