New skincare essentials this Autumn

One of my favourite things to do, controversial as it may seem is to switch up my skincare routine. Albeit I do only tend to do this as the season’s change but it’s something people can be cautious about especially if you find skincare that works well for you. However, it’s crucial to adjust your skincare to the change in weather as both hydration and sun exposure levels can change and a drop in temperature and lower humidity can leave our skin feeling super dry and dehydrated.

Having used this brand before and recognizing the iconic blue and white tube I was so excited to try this cult french moisturizer and I have not been disappointed one tiny bit! It’s everything I thought it would be and more.

As a freelance MUA (when I have time) I had heard that this doubled up as the perfect primer too so I wanted to truly put it to the test for myself as I’m not a massive fan of separate primers.

I am honestly SO impressed. It moisturizes the face without leaving it tacky or greasy. It’s ultra-hydrating whilst keeping a thin consistency, there is nothing I dislike more than a thick gloopy cream for daytime use.

I absolutely love a versatile product and the fact that this can be used on the skin alone, as a primer, or even as part of a make-up look makes it well worth purchasing. I even mixed this cream with one of my full coverage foundations to create a more lightweight tinted moisturizer.

Facial oil is one of my ultimate must-have products for any skincare routine. It isn’t something you may use every day but it’s something to add in as and when your skin needs it.
