It’s nearly that time of year again, V-Day is fast approaching! Last week attended the #VeryValentines blogger event in London, fit with an elegant and intimate atmospheric lit venue – it was a gorgeous girly night, meeting some fabulous brands, bloggers and lusting over the 2018 Very lingerie collections on offer this season at Very.co.uk.
Shapewear, Lace and 50 shades of red and pink
It wouldn’t be a Very event, without a diverse selection of product catering to all sizes! From well known brands such as Boux Avenue and Ann Summers to affordable activewear brands like Dorina, aswel as plus size collections from Curvy Kate – there really was something for everyone.
When it comes to Lingerie I prefer a little cover up, one of my favourite ranges on display had to be the Gabriela collection by Ann Summers, the strappy detail and lace material made the ‘shapewear’ style still look sexy.
Lingerie advice from the brands
We spoke with some of the brands at the event to get advice on how to feel more confident while wearing lingerie and how to dress for your body shape…
A representative from Gossard told us; “High-waisted knickers or basques are great for accentuating your shape and are bang on trend for SS18.”
Ann Summers added“it’s all about finding the right garment to suit your body shape and choosing the correct size, a lot of women buy bras that are too big on the back or the wrong cup size which really does effect how they look and feel”.
