Why you should always use a setting powder.

Whenever I think of flawless makeup application the one product that always comes to mind is setting powder. Yet its probably one of the products people overlook.

And I think that stems from people assuming a setting powder will make your face look dry and cakey (which when applied correctly it doesn’t!) Actually, it’s one of the best tools you can use in the quest for a perfect makeup look.

It can extend the life of your makeup, gone are the days where your makeup would only last until lunchtime, when I apply my setting powder, my makeup stays put all day. Not only this, but if you suffer with oily or shiny skin a setting powder should be your best friend as the right one can keep shine to a minimum. If you’re having a hot day and worried about your makeup sliding off your face, again apply your setting powder and you won’t need to worry.

To clarify… I couldn’t wear makeup without a setting powder.

And whether you use a brush to just dust under the eyes, or you want one to brighten the under eye there is a powder out there for everyone.

Perfect if you are new to setting powders or you’re on a budget look no further than Revolution. This range is one of my favorites and one I use daily. One of the things I love the most about this range is how good it actually is for the price. Not only is there a huge shade range (to suit every skin type and tone) it has become one of their biggest selling products for prolonging the wear of makeup, banishing shine, and brightening the skin tone.

Too faced Born This Way Loose Setting Powder

I received this powder as part of a monthly subscription box and didn’t use it straight away, but once I tried it I was hooked!

I love how this powder makes baking your face so much easier, has such good staying power and leaves an oily area completely matte. Its not a heavy powder so doesn’t feel cakey on the skin, ideal if you suffer with dry skin, it feels super silky on the skin and I also love how it doesn’t cling to any fine lines under the eyes.
