I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by, and as I am writing this we are nearly into the final month of 2020.
If you’re looking to treat yourself ready for the ‘New year, New me’ or your still purchasing some last minute Christmas gifts I have listed below some of the latest skincare products I have been trying over the past month.
Here’s my top 3 Winter Skincare products you need to try this season.
*Some of these products have been gifted but all thoughts are my own.
Botanical Lab – Turmeric balancing face wash*
I have used Botanical Lab products before and they never disappoint, they are one of the nicest skincare ranges I have tried, so when I received their latest face wash promising to cleanse and condition the skin I knew I would be in for a treat.
Formulated with Turmeric, Lavender and Rosemary this face wash is a gentle foaming cleanser which helps to clean without stripping the skin. I love this wash and use it as my second cleanse, if you’re suffering with breakouts this would be perfect to help enhance your natural glow.
Botanical Lab – Hemp and Matcha Tea Clarifying Mask*
I am obsessed with masks and like to use and treat my skin to a good face mask at least twice a week. Including Cannabis Seed oil and matcha green tea this mask helps to clear away dead skin cells and gently remove any build up on impurities. Apply a thin layer and leave on for 10 minutes at least twice a week to see an improvement in your skin. This did feel a little tingly on the skin, but in a cooling way and left my skin feeling super soft and smooth.
I would not recommend if you have sensitive or broken skin.
I had heard such good things about Scientia but had never tried their products. So when I received their Dusk Elixir I was super excited to try! Enriched with a natural retinol this is an ideal product to boost collagen production and tackle any signs of ageing.
Used of an evening I noticed straight away the scent, with lavender and Ylang Ylang it felt like the perfect treat for my skin before I went to sleep. Just a few drops pressed into the skin I loved how it felt super relaxing. If you struggle with winding down of an evening I would suggest adding this into your evening routine to see if you see any difference – I certainly did!
If you’re suffering with drier skin as we go into winter, you need to make sure you are adding a hydrating serum into your skincare routine. This Hydrating Serum is ideal for all skin types and doesn’t leave a sticky residue which makes application super easy. Full of highly moisturizing ingredients this serum is quite refreshing and provides the skin with total rehydration and long lasting moisture. After using every evening for over 3 weeks I have noticed a difference in the plumpness and overall texture of my skin.

I’ll be honest, I am a massive skincare junkie and love to try lots of different products, but with that I know what I like, I know what I’m looking for and I know what makes a good product. When I received this range from BAO I loved their packaging straight away and after reading up on the company I loved how it was a completely natural range created by Beth who saw the need for natural skincare products that actually worked. I received the face cream, lip saviour, hand cream and rose face mist.
100% plastic free and fully recyclable they deliver hydration and relief to even the most delicate skin conditions. Including ingredients to hydrate and improve the tone and elasticity of the skin I noticed a difference within days of using these products.
My skin felt nourished, fresh and radiant.
I had been using these products for a couple of days when I tried another brands face mask which caused me to react quite badly too it , after cooling my face I applied the BAO face cream and the relief was almost instant.
Their lip savior containing cocoa butter smells unreal, almost like white chocolate and helped to nourish and protect my lips against the cold weather.
If you’re looking for an all-natural, vegan brand I cannot recommend BAO enough and with a website full of treats including bath oils, hand creams and bath salts they would make the perfect gift for someone perhaps suffering with their skin. And I for one will be purchasing from them in the future.
